11 kick ass caves you should add to your bucket list

Barton Creek Cave, Belize This cave, easily accessible by tour from San Ignacio, is a great day trip for those who like to mix history with adventure. You'll canoe into darkness while your guide points out pottery shards and human remains from the Mayans who used to inhabit the area. Batu Caves, Malaysia These huge …

Temples and caves in San Ignacio

After a few days on Caye Caulker of amazing Caribbean food and swimming with a variety of marine life we packed up our bags, hopped on the water taxi and ended up in Belize City. I've heard from a lot of people that it isn't a safe place to stay, so we decided to leave …

Snorkelling with sharks on Caye Caulker

This tiny island off the coast of Belize is a backpacker's paradise, which means it's basically 'the cheap one'. Just because it's budget friendly, doesn't mean it's rubbish. Spend your time eating great food, kayaking with a beer and snorkeling with sharks! Getting to Caye Caulker from Mexico It was a sad day when I …

We saw this crazy bridge from way above it on our 4th day, and it was my last challenge before ending the 9-day ABC trek. I'm terrified of heights but it wasn't as bad as it looked... and it meant we had almost reached the end! We decided to take the local bus (not for the faint hearted) back to Pokhara to enjoy a comfy bed and a hot shower. What an adventure! πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅
Can you think of a better way to end a 9-day trek in the Annapurna Massif than with a soak in the Jinhu Hot Springs? No, I think not. πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅
With the mountains behind us and the valley below us, we made our final descent. Our last day of the Annapurna Base Camp trek was beautiful but bittersweet! πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅
Saying goodbye to the mountains, for now... πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅
It was nice spending another night in Chhomrong after a two-day descent from Annapurna Base Camp... but the stairs to reach it are the worst!!! I'd forgotten how far down we climbed just four days earlier... πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅
The climb down from Annapurna Base Camp was, of course, much quicker than the ascent. We walked from ABC (4130m) to Dovan (2505m) one day, and then to Chhomrong (2160m) the next. Then it was time to say goodbye to these mountain views! πŸ‡³πŸ‡΅
